Bell County Divorce Records
Divorce records are court files that detail proceedings involving the dissolution of a marriage. These cases are handled by the District Courts, and the records are kept with the District Clerk. Divorce records include information on the parties involved, the case number, child custody and support orders, settlement agreements, financial records, the initial divorce petition, and the divorce decree.
Bell County divorce records are generally considered public records; however, sensitive information is withheld from public access. Divorce records can be obtained in person from the District Clerk’s Office. Requesters will have to provide a name or case number for a search to be done and pay the required fees. Plain copies cost $1 per page, and certified copies cost $5 per page, in addition to the per-page fee. A $5 search fee will also be required if the requester does not know the case number.
Individuals can also search for divorce records on the Bell County Case Search Portal using a case name or case number.
